Jeffrey Kelly
Vice President / Creative Director
Jeff studied Graphic Design at San Diego State University’s School of Architecture and Design. Developing a central focus on Iconography and Symbology through his formal art training, Jeff designed for highly acclaimed studios and internationally distributed magazines even before graduating college.
Jeff co-created one of the first web-based design studios on the market. There, he was the creative drive behind the first sites on the web and many award-winning shockwave games. This led to landing the Art Director position at Sony Pictures’ in-house design studio. There he led design on many Film, TV and Home Entertainment property web sites as we as print materials and broadcast pieces. In 2000 Jeff Creative Directed the show opens for Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy!. He was also a creative lead for internal startups such as Sony Online Entertainment, Soap City and Screenblast, one of the world’s first broadband experiential websites.
After a five year run at Sony Pictures, Jeff took an opportunity to work for the former Creative Director of MTV to assist in starting up an entertainment division of Packet Video. He led the design team creating content to accompany the commercial deployment of the world’s first streaming video services in mobile networks in Asia and Europe. Packet Video launched trial deployments of multimedia in over 45 mobile networks worldwide.
Jeff was asked to return to Sony Pictures online internal agency division to assist in restructuring and rebuilding their in house team. As the Creative Lead, Jeff expanded a team of one to twenty three in three years and directed all in-house client work for Sony Pictures, Sony Pictures Television, Sony Pictures Home Entertainment, Columbia Pictures, Sony Pictures UK, Sony Pictures Japan, as well as outside Sony divisions.
Jeff joined Heavenspot in 2008 as Vice President, Creative Director.
