Snakes On A Plane Banner Ad Generator
The online marketing for Snakes On A Plane was driven early on by user generated content. Heavenspot created the popular Banner Ad Generator, an online tool that allowed users to create their own banner ad promoting the movie. The generator allows users to upload their own images and taglines or choose from a library of assets. Users could then copy and paste HTML code so the ads could appear on their site. There is even an option to include a ticketing widget. The Generator was then co-opted by IGN for a promotional contest to see who could make the coolest banner ad.
