The Rescue Maria platform-style game was created for the Harold and Kumar Go To White Castle website. We designed the game to have a playful, Super Mario Bros. aesthetic, complete with dance beats and the classic flagpole at the end of each level.
For this fun, interactive canvas for kids (and some adults!), we chose to use original line texture to achieve that hand-drawn comic book feeling. In a great example of strategic marketing, Part One of the series was included in a promotional DVD where its storyline ended with a cliffhanger. Users were then lured to the website where the remainder of the series could be seen.
Speed Racer is certainly a giant in the world of Japanese anime, and we were thrilled to be able to create a rich media site to support re-launch of an important brand. We created a site which includes a 3D Shockwave car modification and racing game, as well as a plethora of downloadable content.
